Netsnare Privacy Policy

This Privacy Policy describes how NukLab ("we", "Operator") handles your information in the Netsnare mobile app ("Service").

1. Information We Collect

The Service automatically collects the following information.

Wi-Fi Network Information

SSID (network name)
BSSID (router MAC address)
Encryption type, gateway IP, DNS servers, DHCP server, and other Wi-Fi analysis data

Location Information

GPS coordinates are immediately converted on your device into a ~5km × 5km grid code (geohash5). Original coordinates are NOT stored on our server.
Only the grid code is sent to the server for statistical purposes.

Device Information

Android Advertising ID (resettable)
Device model, OS version, app version, language setting

Advertising SDK (Google AdMob)

AdMob collects Advertising ID, IP address, and device info to display ads

2. How We Use Information

Collected information is used only for:

Wi-Fi environment analysis and safety information
Regional statistics (~5km grid level)
Service improvement and error diagnosis
Ad display (to support free Service)

We do not use information beyond these purposes and do not sell it to third parties.

Lawful Basis (GDPR)

Legal bases for processing under the EU General Data Protection Regulation (GDPR):

Consent (Art. 6(1)(a)): Location data, advertising data processing
Legitimate Interest (Art. 6(1)(f)): Wi-Fi safety analysis, service improvement (protecting user security)
Legal Obligation (Art. 6(1)(c)): Data retained per legal requirements

3. About Location Permission

The Service requires location permission per Android system policy to collect Wi-Fi information. This is NOT for tracking your location, but a system requirement on Android 8.1+ for accessing BSSID/SSID.

Without location permission, core Wi-Fi scan features cannot be used.

4. Retention Period

When you uninstall the app, all on-device data is immediately deleted.

5. Sharing and Service Providers

Sharing

We do not provide or sell your information to third parties, except when required by law enforcement.

Service Providers

Google LLC (AdMob): Processes Advertising ID, IP, and device info for ad display (USA)
Cloud Hosting Providers: Stores anonymized service data (USA, etc.)

6. Your Rights

You may exercise the following rights at any time:

Delete Data: Clear history in app settings, or uninstall the app to remove all on-device data
Deny Location Permission: Change location permission in device settings
Reset Advertising ID: Device Settings → Google → Ads → Reset Advertising ID

Residents of the EU/EEA, UK, and California have rights under GDPR/CCPA and similar regional laws (access, correction, deletion, portability, objection). Please contact the email above.

EU/EEA residents have the right to lodge a complaint with their national data protection supervisory authority.

We do not "sell" or "share" your information as defined under CCPA.

7. Children Under 14

The Service is not intended for children under 14 (Korean KOPCO) or under 13 (US COPPA). If we discover such information has been collected, we will delete it immediately.

8. Security Measures

Data Breach Notification

In the event of a personal data breach, we will promptly notify the relevant supervisory authorities and affected users in accordance with applicable laws (GDPR Art. 33-34, Korean PIPA Art. 34).

International Data Transfers

Personal information of EU/EEA residents may be transferred to the United States and other third countries. In such cases, we apply appropriate safeguards required by GDPR (such as Standard Contractual Clauses).

9. Automated Decisions

The Service uses automated analysis to classify Wi-Fi environments as "Normal/Caution/Alert". This is reference information only and does not guarantee security. To request human review of a result, contact the operator email.

10. Policy Changes

This Privacy Policy may be updated. Material changes will be notified via in-app notice.
